Allan is the principal dentist here at Devonshire Dental Care. Allan qualified from Dundee Dental School in 2000. He achieved membership of The Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2003 and in 2007 completed a 3 year Diploma in Postgraduate Dental Studies in Prosthetics, Anxiety and Periodontics at Bristol University. He has 6 years experience injecting wrinkle reduction treatments and facial fillers.

He has completed the Scottish Dental Implant Year Course and also a two year postgraduate course in straight wire orthodontics. He is an accredited practitioner for Inman Aligner, Secret Smile Lingual Braces and 6 Months Smiles cosmetic braces. Allan can offer his patients an orthodontic and cosmetic view on treatment options, thus allowing patients to chose the treatment they feel is best suited to their needs.

Nicola graduated from the University of Glasgow in 1994 and has worked in general dental practice ever since. Initially in Airdrie then subsequently in a practice in Clarkston for almost 25 years. She is interested in all aspects of general dentistry with a particular emphasis on composite fillings. Nicola aims to put patient at ease by creating a relaxing and reassuring environment.

She is committed to continuing professional development and regularly attend courses. Outside of dentistry she enjoys running walking cycling and skiing. She lives on the south side of Glasgow with her husband and two daughters.

Liam qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2013. In 2015 he completed the two-part MFDS Qualification and gained membership to the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow. He has recently completed his Diploma in Implant Dentistry at the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh.

Liam has completed courses in Invisalign® and Six Month Smiles® and can thus offer advice on modern orthodontic options for a beautiful cosmetic result. He has also undergone extensive training in the placement and restoration of dental implants having been mentored by some of the most experienced and highly regarded implantologists in the UK and Sweden. Liam has experience in placing Straumann®, Nobel Biocare® and Biomet 3i® implants.

Julia qualified from the University of Glasgow in 2008. She completed the MFDS qualification in 2010 and is a member of the Royal College of Surgeons in Glasgow. She has training in advance restorative work, having completed the two year Tipton Training course in 2017.

She can also offer her patients anti wrinkle injections. She has a great interest in orthodontics, and is able to offer aesthetic fixed orthodontics, having completed the Quick Straight Teeth course in 2016.

Having seen the fantastic results cosmetic orthodontics can provide, she is now undergoing further training in straight wire orthodontics to be able to provide her patients with more complex treatment options. She is keen to provide the best quality of care for her patients, and to be able to offer beautiful cosmetic results combining orthodontic and restorative treatment options.

Myles Gillespie graduated from the University of Glasgow in 2014. Since then, he has practiced dentistry in New Zealand before coming back to Scotland to continue his professional development.

He has a keen interest in saving teeth and has carried out further training in Endodontics and Restorative dentistry. He enjoys carrying out smile makeovers using a combination of clear aligners, composite bonding and porcelain veneers.

Laura Herdman is one of our dental hygienists here at Devonshire Dental Care. She is very gentle and at the same time very thorough in her work. She also has a very relaxing patient manner which will put anxious patients at ease. She is dedicated towards preventing dental problems such as gingivitis and dental caries. Laura is qualified in taking digital x-rays, dental impressions, administering local anaesthetics as well as performing complex periodontal work.
