A number of us are keen to straighten our highly visible front teeth but would rather not wear fixed braces for long periods of time.
Likewise, many adults who have had orthodontic treatment in childhood often find their teeth relapse in later years. They would really like to re-straighten them again- regaining the beautifully straight smile they once had- but remember the years of painful treatment from long ago!
Until recently, other than braces the only way of straightening the front teeth quickly and easily has been porcelain veneers. Unfortunately this can be quite extreme as it requires removal of the surface enamel. For this reason, many patients simply put up with their crooked teeth as they feel nothing can be done.
If you seek a simple, fast and cost effective way of straightening your front teeth- top or bottom- then the Inman Aligner could be perfect for you. While fixed braces can take several months to work, the Inman Aligner can straighten the front four teeth in as little as 6 weeks.
This simple, removable appliance incorporates nickel titanium oil springs that power two aligner bows. These bows work by gently opposing each other. While the inner bow pushes against the back teeth the outer bow pulls back on them helping to guide teeth into their new positions quickly.
Your aligner can be easily removed and re-inserted as required to make cleaning teeth and eating easy.
The Inman Aligner is ideal for mild to moderate crowding or protrusion of the front four teeth although it may not be the most suitable option if particularly complex movements are required.
Although the aligner is not invisible like some other options, it is ideal for straightening just a few of your front teeth very quickly.
So why wait? Get the brand new smile you are dreaming of with less hassle and expense than other tooth straightening systems.
What is involved in treatment?
Once we determine that the Inman Aligner is suitable for you we will take impressions and photographs of your teeth which will be used to manufacture your aligner.
Your aligner will be produced and you will be invited in for a fitting appointment.
You will need to wear it for around 20 hours a day in order to gain the maximum benefit. You will need to return for check-ups every few weeks so that we can ensure treatment is progressing as expected.
As with all tooth straightening treatments you will need to wear a retainer afterwards so that your teeth don’t relapse.
How long does it take?
Treatment with the Inman aligner is generally shorter than with traditional braces. Often patients will notice a change within 6 weeks. In some cases it can take up to 6 months to complete treatment.
Is an Inman Aligner expensive?
Due to the shorter treatment times an Inman aligner is generally a highly cost effective treatment. Costs will differ on an individual basis but on average you can expect to pay around £1450 per arch.
